What is Lip Enhancement?

 

One of the most popular of all Aesthetic Treatments! Lip Enhancement is a cosmetic procedure that can give you fuller, plumper, more defined lips. We use a hyaluronic. acid based filler.

 

How long does it take?

 

Your appointment will be around 30 minutes in total. Topical numbing cream will be applied and this will be taking effect whilst we carry out a full consultation to understand your desired look and expectations. We will go over your medical history to ensure that there's nothing that could prevent you from having treatment (this is totally confidential). The actually treatment and delivery of the relevant aftercare advice will then take around 10 minutes.

When will I see the results?

As with any dermal filler treatment you will see results imediately as the injected hylaronic acid filler plumps up the tissues.

 

Will there be any bruising/swelling?

 

Yes there may be slight bruising and swelling. Swelling can last up to 3 days, but we recommend to allow at least 7 days for the initial bruising/swelling to subside before assessing the final results of your treatment.

 

How long will it last?

Everyone is different so results vary between clients. Lifelstyle, metabolism, skin type and other factors like the number of previous filler treatments all have an effect on treatment longevity. As a very rough guide we would say 3 to 6 months for Lip Enhancement unless you're new to this procedure (see below).

Note: After your first or second treatment, fillers don’t tend to last more than around 4-6 weeks, this is because the body sees the filler as a foreign substance that it needs to push out. We recommend a repeat treatment within 6 weeks of your first appointment and you'll find that the longevity will improve as your body gets used to the product being there. We advise to have the same product at least 3/4 times without changing, this will allow the required resilience to build within your body.
